The SoundBody Sound Therapy Training program will give students the ability to explore clinical work utilizing basic principles of sound and music with specific attention to how vibration and deep listening affect the body-mind system, and how our tissue-body attunes to sonic vibration. We will also learn and explore the psycho-dynamic principles of sound and music and how different instruments can be used in a variety of therapeutic modalities.

This program is designed for healing arts practitioners and clinicians interested in developing their understanding and skills in working with sound and vibrational therapies. Examples of disciplines that would benefit from this training include music therapists, sound practitioners, medical professionals, mental health practitioners yoga teachers and body workers. Each training module goes deeper into the practice with more opportunities for hands on practicum training and supervision.

Participants will come away with a clear, in-depth understanding of the vibrational body, the science of how sound affects the neuroendocrine system, as well as deep listening practices to develop the way in which we connect with our clients, patients, students, and of course, ourselves.

Our weekend trainings begin on Friday evenings at 6pm and Saturday and Sunday are full days beginning at 10am and ending at 6pm with a 1-hour lunch break. Each weekend will focus on theory, history, and hands-on practicum training with homework, journaling, and mentoring as part of the process. Some instruments will be available for sale and there will be many instruments on hand for use in dyad and group work.
